Re: Why is there no way to contact the Administrator?

Probably the best one to get in touch with is Vern Graner. I checked my personal messages on here and didn't see anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ For what its worth, I rarely have time to come to this forum anymore. Sean Lemieux is the admin here now for day to day. You can always contact the Nuts and Volts Off...

Re: Remote Control Light Dimmer

To recap: Looking to build/buy portable remote control light dimmer(s) for 750W without breaking the bank; X10 protocol I would reccomend that you have a look at wireless DMX systems. A good place to start is parts express: http://www.parts-express.com/Search.aspx?keyword=wireless%20dmx&sitesea...

Re: CID logger

Re: Demise of telephone landline

Guess I'm spoiled speed-wise. :) I work from home so rely on high speed Internet. Here's a speed test I just ran about 5 mins ago  Of course, I am supposed to be on their "ultimate" plan with speeds up to 300mbps, maybe I should complain about the speed..? http://www.parbench....

Re: Demise of telephone landline

Has the problem affected you, and how have you coped? The web of landlines on the telephone poles has always been reliable, the ph...

Re: TV Sound Circuitry

Thanks for clarification Vern. If I read you right, you are saying: 1) Head phone jack has its own demodulator (digital to analog) and audio amp. 2) Sound bar takes audio (in digital form) from a different location in the sound chain. 3) Sound bar then performs the basic tasks as the TV headset jac...

Re: TV Sound Circuitry

Does the opto coupled audio for sound bars come from the same location as the head phone audio? The answers is tricky as it seems to be both YES and NO depending upon how you look at it. To explain- By necessity, the headphones audio out is analog. It would be created by decoding the digita...

Re: Self entertaining, entertainment system!

they say "It may be a WiFi issue" In any diagnostics, reduction of variables is the key. I would start by doing some google searches for your TV model number and the symptoms see if someone else has had the problem and solved it. Replicate their solve or add to their thread. :) Yo...
