Re: I need an help to redraw a circuit,please...
The biasing pot is part of voltage divider to get the Fet's in range. To allow disconnection of the internal FET diode, a separate diode can be added pointing to the drain (coil-diode-drain) This will unclamp the flyback emf on negative swings. The dotted diode is called the "parasitic" di...

Hi People...
I need some help to try to arrange the oscillator circuit on the left of the picture, to drive the coils setup showed on the right with three IRF840.Thanks for any help.

Re: Help to build a Ion Detector, please....
If I add other three transistor with the polarity reversed ,in a parallel path on the circuit ,have you any idea were to connect the DPDT switch to change the sensing of ions?
Q3 have to be reversed,also?

Help to build a Ion Detector, please....
Hi People!... I have decided to build a ion detector circuit I have found on a book.I'm not an electronic engineer, so I want to see if there is some people so gentle that can help me to make this project.Essentially, the circuit is the same posted here:http://www.sentex.net/~mec1995/circ/hv/niondet...

Hi People... I need to control the temperature of an oven heating element. For that purpose I have found this kit: http://fadisel.com/cebek-electronic/dimers/2000-w-light-regulator-dimmer-cebek-i-16_R_293_290.aspx ,but the price is exaggerated to me,considering that the pieces costs less 5 bucks...Ha...

Re: I need help on how to make coil calculations...
To Bob Scott: Ok, the coil is 0,24 ohms. This for a 37,5W coil. If I calculate the resistance of a coil four times bigger the starting values,ex.12V at 50AMPs (600W...),I got the same resistance:0,24 Ohms!!.This thing confuses me. I have here a two very different wattage and the same coil is good for...

Re: I need help on how to make coil calculations...
I think that the coil is done better by mathematical calculation...I haven't copper wire to waste.

I need help on how to make coil calculations...
Hi People....
I'm inexperienced in this field, so I need your helps to find the right calculations to make a coil of copper wire for a DC electromagnet, that consumes 37,5W (3V at 12,5Amps...).I thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Cyrano.

Re: I need help on high voltage resistor....
I quote from this page:http://www.kronjaeger.com/hv/hv/src/tv/ "Cascade modules are not suitable for rapid discharge, which occurs e.g. when arcing to ground. I lost several units this way. Even worse, the input AC source may be damaged through the extremely high voltage spikes occuring during ...
