Re: Making the C: my master drive
Hello reloadron, I racked my brain and I finally figured it all out with a lot of researching. Somehow the H:Factory drive was grabbing the installs and I checked the mother board for the jumpers to the H: drive and switched the jumper around til I seen C: drive was the main drive. Took a little bit...

Re: Making the C: my master drive
I learned a couple things along the way about my question. When I go into "Administrators Tools/Computer Management/Storage/Disk Management", I see that the H:Factory system is The (Boot) and the C: is labeled (System). Now the question is "How can I switch the two"? Please help!...

Re: Converting DVD movies
Hey Tzap, I found a program like Nero but better, it's called Convert-X-DVD. This program was worth the money and I am very satisfied with it, (So Far). It's user friendly, a little bit of reading to understand the software, and burns good quality DVD's. I appreciate all your suggestions and help wi...

Re: Converting DVD movies
Janitor Tzap, First off, thanks for your inputs. I did what you suggested with the Finalization, and yes I can still view it from the source I burned it from. You also said that it may not be Finalized, I did put them through a second time and a window came up with a notice that I need to put a prop...

Re: Converting DVD movies
Hello Janitor Tzap, I thank you for the tip of running the finalizing. Like I mention this is all new to me. I found the Finalizing mode to run and did both DVD's and I still was not able to play them, kept getting an "error" message. My Player is three years old and it played the movies I...

Re: Replaced a virus filled HD with a new one
Hey guys, thanks for your suggestions. The warranty on this is over due, it was only for a year. And as for the Windows CD to go through the USB DVD to the Acer all I end up with was a blinking dash on the left side of the screen. I set the boot to the USB port the DVD lit up like it was going to th...

Re: Replaced a virus filled HD with a new one
hi haklesup, I didn't mean to come on like that and I apologize, it's just this is so frustrating and expensive I just would like to fix this and be done with it. You do have an idea though, I did just get my DVD burner and that's a plug and play, would I be able to use that to transfer data?

Re: Replaced a virus filled HD with a new one
Thanks guys for your inputs. I do have the old HD and I put it back in and did the "Alt Gr + F10" like I have read from the manual to go to recovery, but then I'll get beeping noise sometimes and go back to reboot after flashing the blue screen of death to rebooting again, repeatably. I tr...

Re: Replaced a virus filled HD with a new one
Hi haklesup, I see no reason to get a DVD-Rom for a one time use. And with the Acer no software came with it, everything was already installed. Is there a site I can go to to download on a thumb drive the correct drivers?

Re: No Ethernet or Network Connection
hello Guys, First off, I like to thank all you guys for your suggestions and I did them all. I went into further investigation with this and found that I had to install a whole new Network Adapter. The internal one to the MB I did everything possible to get that driver to work and it seem to be some...
