EPIC Pic programmer trouble

Post by jrob709 »

I recently bought a EPIC programmer and I'm having trouble getting it to work. I was reading the paperwork and it says to use an AC adapter that puts out 13-16 VDC at 300-500 mA.
My adapter is 16VDC at 900mA.
When I go to program I get an error "0000" which according to the help file is a power supply issue.
I assumed that since I have 900mA available that it would take what it needed and should work fine but am I wrong ?
any help is appreciated.
thanks in advance :)

Find the voltage regultor on te PCB + check irs output (probably 5v DC) if this is not presant the either ur regultor has broken or ur adaptor is faulty. Hope this helps.
B)
