telephone line speaker
looking for a circuit that will hook to the telephone line in order to run through an amp into some small wall speakers. In the conference room, people at the back of the room cannot hear the speakerphone at the front, so they would like a set of speakers in the rear of the room... no need for additional mic's as the front one picks up fine, the speaker just doesn't blast over everyones noise to the rear... I'll probably have to interface it with the network from inside a phone in order to filter and keep from dropping the line quality down with the tap... ? but after that?

Hi Wayne.
Find any type of small transformer, a transistor radio output stage one, or a driver, or a small AC power adapter one.
Connect the lowest impedance winding of the transformer (usually the 8 ohm secondary) in SERIES to ONE of the two wires of the telephone line used by the speakerphone.
The other (primary) winding of the transformer can feed any public addressing or other amplifier input, and the audio will be the whole conversation, not just the incoming one.
If you install the transformer in a plastic box, with 2x RJ11 connectors for line in/out and another mini audio one for the audio output, the whole thing is portable.
If left in the circuit it does not affect the line at all.
Good luck.
