Bridgeport Mill Motor Driver

Post by jwax »

Anybody have a reference for repairing a 90v DC motor drive PCB for the x axis on this mill? We bought the mill used, and the board is toasted with multiple burned resistors, traces- appears unrepairable but....? Bridgeport of course wants big $$ to replace the whole assembly.
Thanks!
John

If it is the old kind that mounts on the end of the drive screw and has a reversing lever on top I can mayby help you. The print for it would be the last page of the Bridgeport manual. If i can find a copy i'll send it to you.
[ July 18, 2005: Message edited by: josmith ]

josmith- yes it is an oldie, and I'd very much like a schematic! By all means, if you can locate it, I'll owe you one!! :D

Try Electro Mechanical Integrators athttp://www.emi-inc.net/. They specialize in Bridgeport. You could also consider upgrading your control electronics. EMI is also a dealer of my company's (Centroid) CNC controls for Bridgeport mills.
