how or why do my login and password keep disappearing? it will work for months without me having to enter it each time I visit email, forums, and so on.. then all of a sudden, it will not stay, no matter what "save" or button I press? tried remember me, save my login, log me in automatically, nothing works.. ?

Cleaning out cookies will have this effect. Does this happen when you do a cleanup?
Or maybe you have a new av that does it for you.

Firefox or Internet Explorer or both?
Has anyone else used the computer recently? Is it a full time shared computer?
Windows XP, Vista or 7?
On all sites or just this one?

firefox, no one else uses the computer, and it happens everytime I close out, turn it off, or let it sit and hibernate.. like I have this site to "remember me".. all of a sudden, now it forgets me and I have to login everytime I bring up this webpage.. it erases my check marks, it erases my login, my passwords, everything every time.. really beginning to piss me off, I think its something that damn MicroSoft puts in their updates.. seems everytime I do an update, something screws up.. guess I could do a restore back to a month ago or so.. but it would be nice to figure out what it changes when this happens..

In FireFox,
Click on the Tools.
Scroll down to Clear Recent History click on it.
In the Details Window that is open.
Make sure you UNCHECK:
Cookies
Active Logins
Site Preferences
If these are checked.
Firefox will delete them every time you close your browser.

If that doesn't solve it.
You could of picked up some malware.
Update your VA and run a scan on your hard drive.

didn't work.. ? tried different settings, nothing.. weird tho, one time I pull up the page, and everything is there, close down, maybe the next time, nothing is there,, this goes on for a while, then wa la.. its back? also, signing on to YAHOO mail, it comes up and says my screen resolution isn't high enough for their mail page? but its the setting they recommend.. plus, that happens about 10 times, then gone for a while also..

Well, I'd say your system been compromised.

Go to this website: http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/
Sign up, and then go to the "Malware Removal Forum" and post your problem there.
The experts there have a lot of experience in dealing with the nasty bugs that are out there.
They'll give you the software tools too help you diagnose, and clean out the nasty bugs.

well, guess what.. it hasn't done it since my last response? weird, goes for a while, then quits.. everything working now for some reason..

Hmm, were there any updates since last time and now? Sometimes that will remedy situations (or not...)

most likely an update then? seems everytime MS updates, something else craps out or changes on me.. wish they would knock it off
