Hi there,
Anyone know how to get the fan controller current ratings for a particular motherboard?
The mobo's have connectors for fans that can sense speed and power the fans, but
usually they are small fans that dont take much current. The fan i want to use is
around 0.3 amps and that's a bit high for a fan. The actual connector is actually
most likely just a power supply connection with speed sensing though, without an
actual controller circuit.
It will probably work ok but i thought i would ask if anyone had any information on
this.

Hi Ya MrAl
Best guess would be try and find out what chip is used as the fan controller then look at the specs on the chip. This is something I never gave much thought to.
