Im looking for others interested in robotics in the Detroit area. There used to be a club in the area but they are no longer around. I would like to form a new club, if your interested reply to this post.

There is an active robotics group in the Ann Arbor area that meets every month. They have a website setup here:

I'm more of a virtual member since I've only made it to one physical meeting and just participate online.

One that I have gone to is a lot closer but hasn't been meeting on a regular basis. I expect it will pick back up in the next few months. It meets at Macomb Community College (South Campus) on the weekend.

The only other robot club in the area was geared toward battlebots and that pretty much wound down after the show was canceled.

I'll see if I can dig up the contact info for the group that meets at Macomb and post it.
