Cool.

Thou, you could also post the image here in this posting just as easily.
So, anyone could print it out from this subject thread.

I would LOVE to post those tables here. Trouble is, I'm a typist, not a computer nerd, and I haven't the slightest idea how to post the images, what format they need to be in, etc. Lead me by the hand, and I'll see what I can do. Otherwise, I'm limited to sending them directly to those who request them via an e-mail attachment.

I currently have the docs in WordPerfect 8* and PDF format.

Hi Dean,

You've used Copy and Paste right?

All you have to do is copy and paste them into your text box
that you usually type into.
If they are in an image form instead of text, you'll have to click
"Add Image To Post" under the text box and go from there.
It will ask you where the file is on your computer.
Just in case you want to do this.
My email is accessible via here but if you need it explicitly i can
PM you. Thanks again.

OK. Apparently I have to convert the tables to an image file, which means that I'll have to print and scan the original. Now to figure out what I did with my scanner's USB cable ....

See you in the next exciting episode. Oh, by the way, Al, the e-mail accessible through the forum is not regular e-mail and it doesn't appear that there's any way to attach a file to it.

Next exciting episode:

Scanning to convert to .jpg will end up with 11 pages, 11 images to post and what I forsee as one huge mess and a lot of time. It'd be better to e-mail this stuff. Anyone who wants a copy can either PM me with your real e-mail address and I'll attach three PDF files to the reply or you can contact me directly and I'll do the same:

Files are under 35KB each.

Dean,

Do you have any conversion utilities or maybe even a .PDF printer driver
on your computer? Also, there are several ways to select text / images in
Adobe Reader so that you can copy them to the clipboard / paste it into
other programs. A rather simple way to do your conversion is to use a
.PDF printer driver such as PDF995 to first print the document to a .PDF
file and then convert it to an image file, such as .JPG.

I have been using PDF995 for several years to send people PDF's and to
do a quick 2-step conversion to images. In order to use PDF995 in this
way, you first go to the link provided above and download PDF995 and
PDFedit995. If you want extra security and signature ability, also
download Signature995. Install as per instructions on the website. Once
installed, you will see a new printer called PDF995. When you select this
one, you will be prompted to select a filename to print to. After you have
printed your document, you can use PDFedit995 to convert the last
printed document to a picture file, ie .JPG. From there, you can use any
image program to further edit the file should you wish.

Once satisfied with the results, you may then use a service such as
Postimage.org to help upload your image file. Just follow the instructions
there and once your image is uploaded, copy the ForumBBcode using the
provide link on that page and paste it where you want the image to show
up. It's actually quite easy once you do it once or twice.

If you want any further help or explanation, give me a shout.

BTW, did I mention both of the "services" I list are free? PDF995 is free
as long as you can put up with a "nag" window telling you that you are
using the free version. Postimage is totally free with no nags whatsoever.

Ceas,

It's late, so I'll have to digest your post later, but I do have and use "cutePDF", a free pseudo printer driver. Works very nicely with no problems so far. Thanks for the info. I'll play with it latter and try posting docs again.

Dean,

That's fine. I've never heard of cutePDF. Is that from the same company
that makes CuteFTP etc.? That's the same comapny that bought out my
wife's favorite web design software, Trellix Web.

I don't know if PDFedit995 will work with that program. What you could do
is use the camera icon in Adobe Reader and paste the resulting clipboard
info into Paint or similar, saving it as a JPEG. Then you can continue on as
I posted earlier.

That way is pretty simple and quick, and you can maximize the resulting
picture to remove most of the white space, making a more compact and
concise image. The picture icon literally takes a picture of the selected
area and places it in the clipboard. It works for all types of PDF info:
pictures, text, tables; if you can see it in your document, you can take a
picture of it and paste the resulting image anywhere an image can be
pasted - Paint, Photoshop, even Word (or WordPerfect in your case).

Ceas,

It's at http://www.cutepdf.com

Just as with Adobe, there's bigger buy-me stuff and the CutePDF free download. It seems to be a company called "Acro Software", so maybe the fur over your wife's spine won't rise if she's looking over your shoulder while on the site.

Have a great new year!
