Stepper motor question

Post by krnl jones »

I am not for sure of the stepper motor specifications.
The number of the motor is 110BYG450C.
Also, the spec. sheet says it is an HB Stepping Motor.
I hate to sayit; I bought it from Jameco.com and they can not help me with it. ( I know I should have returned it )
I think it is a constant current device.

The specs:
4 phase
step angle .9 / 1.8
Voltage 80-200
Current 6A
Resitance 180 mili Ohms I get 600 mili Ohms
Inductance 2 mili Henry
Holding Torque 4.5 N cm
Detent Torque 0.3 N cm
Rotor Inertia 3.8 Kg cm2
Jameco Part # 237585

Got it sorted out

Post by krnl jones »

I got it to step using a wall transformer.
So far I can get it to manualy step.
It is an 8 wire motor and I have Unipolar and Bipolar to choose from.
The specs is still not too clear as far as voltage and amperage are concerned.
Thanks.
:)
