Hello all,

I am wanting to modify a Sony ICF-C318 clock radio so it displays 24 hour (00:00-23:59) time. It currently displays 12 hour time.

I have done some research and it looks like European versions of the same model number DO display time in a 24 hour format.

The IC controlling the clock functions is a 36 pin quad flat package chip.

The chip does not have any manufacture logo.

The chip has the following characters on it:

872B06A
58J1
7NX0J


I have not been able to find any info about this IC online.

I have found datasheets on other alarm clock IC's from other manufactures and they all have built in 12 hr/24 hr capibility. Just need to find the data sheet on this 36 pin QFP IC.

Any info would be great!
