Wireless weather station(Sept. 2007)

I am current trying to do the September 2007 wireless weather station project part 1. But every time I go to step four it never works. It can read whats on the modules, but it can't write anything to them. I know I have all the write parts as warned and instructed about in the article. But every time I try the instructions in step 4, everything works unit I click the write button. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?
