Post by Lenp »

Clearing out the 'stuff'!

Several standard business style 5 and 10 line key system telephones and 400 series line cards.
There are also several terminal blocks/cabinets and what not and it is all up for for grabs.
They were removed from service and are in used condition.

The price is free... You pay shipping from MD.

Sounds like 1A1 and/or 1A2 key system stuff. Been completely out-of-date for thirty years or more. One 5 line phone line phone took a 25 pair cable to hook it up. A museum needing spare parts might want it.

Even the 66 blocks take a lot of space for the number of cross-connects provided.

You are absolutely correct. That is why it was replaced.
One thing though. It ran forever with only a rare service call.. I still remember the 25 pair color code and the designations T,R,A,A1,L,LG....

Thankfully, trouble calls were rare like you said. Mechanical wear on interuptor, and users moving numbers and which numbers rang where could drive a tech nuts. Another uh challenge to figure out was mice "working" on the 25 pairs under the floor.

Do you happen to remember what that system was replaced with? (just curious)

Sorry, but the last post slipped past me!

The 1A2 system was replaced with two Panasonic wireless, 6 handset systems. One system for each of the 2 CO lines. They are full of features and there's no looking back!

Still got some "stuff" left if there's any interest, including half a spool of 25 pair!
