StarTrek Models

I seem to keep coming up with things to post out here.
I came across one of my old schematics of a lighting system for a Star Trek model that my younger brother had made. We installed it, and it looked pretty good. I really don't think he has it anymore, but I thought maybe someone here might like to build it.

Anyhow, here is the schematic. I'm sure it would be fun to build:

Any idea what happened to leds D1-D8?
Don't suppose you have a link to what this display looks like?

Yup, D1-D8 are 1N4148 diodes. I labeled my LEDs with a "D" as well since they are diodes.

Anyway, I only remember that it looked pretty good on the model. No pictures though. I didn't have a digital camera back then.
