Re: IC id ?
I think your out of luck there dacflyer,
I'm pretty sure Cronus had that IC made especially for their Digital Stopwatches.
How did you get your hands on it?

but the battery cover was missing and battery contacts corroded to death, i only bought it because it had one of them rare bubble led displays.
the guy wanted 3.00 for it, but i told him i'd give a dollar,, he went to 2 dollars. i said oki,, laid it down and walked off..a second later he said ok ok 1.00...lol

Re: IC id ?
Hmmm.....
I've only seen those old style Bubble LED's on the old TI Calculators.
Well, have you tried subbing in 4.5Vdc to see if it still works?
From the link you provided.
It shows good working digital stop watches going for about $50 used.
So, if the battery contacts are the only thing wrong with it.
It might be worth cleaning it up, and replacing the battery contacts.
Find someone with a 3D Plastic Printer, and have them make a replacement battery cover.
Then put it on E-bay or Craigslist for $35 - $40.

Re: IC id ?
it works, but the metal disk buttons are very worn out, barely working.. not worth saving...
even if it was working good, it'll most likely cost more to have a cover made then it's worth..

Well, if you can't use the Display or IC.
Shoot off an E-mail to electronicsusa, saying you have that Digital Stopwatch,
and would they be interested in it for its useable parts.
