help with a LCD screen..

i have this car stereo ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009VDPNZO/?ta ... malacom-20 )
the display is cracked.
can't find a model number on the radio ( china off brand Ouku )
the screen has this information on it..
Sun-Way HSD7A-LED9 it is a 7" screen but measures 7.5" - go figure..
this is a touch screen.
i can't find anything on this..

Many Chinese manufacturers sell original and overstocked components here, just avoid the 1000 pcs min order postings, this one has a range and I bet you could send the other link and ask if they had a compatible replacement. You may have to disassemble to see markings or just the cable configuration for a photo.

Yeah,
I noticed that they were going on, and on about they're latest and greatest devices they just came out with.

I also looked for a Tech Support E-mail, or phone, but I'm only seeing ones for Sales.

This is an after market Stereo/DVD player right?

If it was one that was built for one of the auto makers, I'd say go check a few auto salvage yards.
Otherwise finding that screen is going to be tough.

ya it was a brand new NO NAME in dash stereo / dvd player etc what ever..lol
the guy tried to send it back under warranty, and they told him to throw it away and they'd send him another one..so he gave the other one to me and so i am trying to find another screen for it..
if i can..

Call them up and see if YOU can send it back

It was probably a contract production for the radio manufacturer buy I would still send them an email to see if they can suggest [email protected].
may be a long shot but hey, the cost is right!

I think you already know it was not made to be repaired. In any case, the link I posted the seller invites you to send the specs to have them find a match. I'm sure all you need to so is match the size and connector pinout. having the connector lie in the right spot would be a bonus, there may also be voltage and controller compatibility. I couldn't say if the display controller is part of the display or the board it plugs into.

there does not appear to be a on board display controller. just the display itself..
i know it is not meant to be repaired, but i just hate to throw away a brand new radio...
