No problem on the East Coast! As cold as it's been, maybe the cables are in Superconductor mode!
Possibly ... Clear history and cache check other running apps for hogging resources, switch to a different DNS used for the internet connection. Even try a different browser...

Tip: Since XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, they do not issue security certificates for XP boxes. This affects Internet Explorer and Chrome's ability to connect to secure sites (https:)
As a fix use Firefox. Mozilla issues it's own certificates regardless of the operating system version.

Am having problems with posting. Does not take it, prompts as "duplicate" and hangs. Some keyboard massaging and finally takes it. (Throws me out of log-in)

i have cleared my cookies, and cache, things are still weird when i use the site here..
if i post a reply and hit the submit button, it takes for ever to do anything.. at the top it says "connecting" then finally goes to a blank white screen..and sits there dead.
this is what is in the address bar in the dead white screen after i hit the submit button.

Try different systems, browsers or ISP to isolate issues.
None of these issues are seen here using systems running from XP to Win7 (Win 8 sucks as much as Vista sucked) with Comcast as ISP.

ok, i tried this forum on another and it does the same thing... both computers use fire fox..
and it is only this site that acts goofy when you reply.
have to either hit back button and then go to the forum index, or restart the forum to get anywhere..
but it is only happening after you hit the submit button..

Did you try a different DNS? You are not married to the one assigned by your ISP.
Here is info and a list of free servers. It may help...

The DNS settings are in the internet settings of control panel.
Good luck

Well it seems by the lack of other posts it is not a widespread problem.
I'm out of suggestions... Maybe a moderator will join in here to help!

I've been having problems with posting as well.

I hit submit, then it takes forever to acknowledge.
Now I just hit submit, refresh the page, then cancel.
So I don't double post.
