go to edit, prefrences in firefox and look for the option to use firefox as your default browser. You need to set firefox as your default browser again. MS likes to force you to use thier software if you do updates and it really messes with things.

I dont think it has ever been set to default to open all links in a new tab really, not unless something was messed up before. Are you thinking about when you search something in the search bar at the top right? If so, maybe this will help out a little:

nope,, if i have a link in my email..and i click that link, it would open up in another tab.
but now it just opens in the same tab as my email
and then if i want to go back to my email i have to either hit the back button or re-open my email.
so for right now if i want the link to open in another tab, i have to right click it and tell it to open in another tab.. it will not do it automatically ..

I honestly have no idea really, it all depends on the email provider if your using web based email, or might be some setting in the email client. I usually just middle click stuff to open it in a new tab really, but I run linux on here, so it might work on windows, might not.

mine doesnt either, I just press both left click and right click at the same time, on some laptops without scroll or anything, that's counted as middle click.

UPDATE >>> i found this.. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefo ... n-new-tab/

goto your tools tab in FF, and click add-ons and search for "Open Link in New Tab" and then install...
once installed goto the add-ons manager and go into the options, and select the automatic level for new tab links, and select
option LV2 - "open links to different websites in a new tab" then click OK...
it works now :)
