laptop question.. Fujitsu N-series

Post by dacflyer »

i have a Fujitsu Lifebook N-series, it is very worn, as in the stickers that show info on the bottom are worn or gone.
i need to know. is there a way to look into the laptop to find out what model this is ?
i thought i could find it by right clicking MY COMPUTER then goto properties, but no luck.
i need the power jack for it, and i cannot find the right one i need. i also need a battery for it.
i looked on the net, and it seems to be 2-3 different power jacks for Lifebook N-series laptops.
any help ?

easiest way that I can think of, and that usually works for me is to use directx diagnostics. goto start/run, then enter "dxdiag", without quotes. Or start menu and search for "dxdiag", without quotes on systems with windows vista/7/8. A message will pop up and ask something about signed drivers, just click yes or no, and in there, the dxdiag window will pop up showing system info including the model of your laptop.

You can also go to:
Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information
It will be listed under System Summary.
