ok, well the CCleaner did find a few minor things, i did as you suggested, all was fine until AVG did a scan then the common module went bye bye again..
this is what AVG sees...
infection --> may be infected by unknown virus win32/ ********* ( bunch of numbers/letters)
source --> C:/program files/toshiba/toshiba applet/thotkey.exe
process --> windows/explorer.exe
so i down loaded avast, and i am gonna install it and see how that goes.
i'll keep you posted...

Cool.
I would of been interested in what the WIN32/******** was?
If you can remember the string of numbers.
Just try too Google it and see what comes up.
Or try this site: Systemlookup
http://www.systemlookup.com/
That or shoot an question too Toshiba Support.
http://www.justanswer.com/sip/toshiba?r ... KgodjlTOGA
And ask if that is a part of "Common module" program.
If they tell you it is.
Then AVG had the problem.
Though....
Was AVG the latest version?
Many times, so called newer versions can cause problems with older software.

well i cannot give the string of numbers, it was about a mile long..lol
and things are still fine here with avast.,
i am more than sure it was AVG being the problem, otherwise i am sure avast would have thrown up a flag as well..
