Run Time error 71

Post by Rodney »

I just had to use advanced recover on my computer running Windows XP and consequently lost all my programs. I'm trying to reinstall a program I had (Design Cad 2000) but now I get "runtime error 71, disk not ready) when I try to install the program. Since it installed properly before, what might my problem be? Thanks. rodney

A couple of links with info on how to fix/work around:

Trustfile.com - error 71
Computerhope.com - error list
Scribd.com - error list

Seems like a fairly straightforward fix.

Good luck,

I did download and run REGCURE which said and found and fixed a few errors. Now, when I try to reinstall DesignCAD Pro 2000, I still get an error just a different one. I get the message in the following 5 lines after it gets 61% of the way through the installation process:
An error occurred during the move data process-103.
Component: local tools
File Group:
File:
OK
and the install process aborts. Any suggestions? I have tried to contact ViaGrafix but it appears they have sold out to another concern and do not answer any E-mails. Thanks again for any suggestions. Rodney
