I moved this from the general forum too here because this is a software sort of question.
I'm getting P.O.S.T code beeps when starting the system.
1 normal, 2 short beeps.
Plus, at the bottom right of the screen.
These numbers appear.
00A3
0075
00A9
0078
Unfortunately for me, I don't have a POST Card with the code sheet.
Any Idea's what these mean?

Maybe a video system failure.
Put "ami bios post codes" without quotes in Google and verify.
Cheers,

Cheers,
It comes up as anything from Video Memory failure, too first 64k of Memory failure.
I switched out memory sticks, and pulled PCI-Express Video card out,
and tried the On Board Video Chipset.
It still gives me;
1 normal, and 2 short beeps.
Plus, at the bottom right of the screen.

I have video, and all on board components seem to be working.
But those P.O.S.T. numbers must mean something, right?
I worked on older computers{PC/XT/Clones/286/386/486/586/First Gen Pentiums}.
I was using a PC testing program called CHECKIT, that used an ISA Plug in board,
that would give you number codes on its little LED display.
You then looked up the code in the booklet that came with it.
But it won't work with these new mother boards, that are PCI-E,
and the Windows Operating System won't allow direct access to the mother board.
So,
If someone has a newer Test PCI-E Plug in board, and test software.
Could you look up those P.O.S.T. Numbers for me?
Thanks.

Re: AMI BIO's: MSI K9N2GM-FD Mother Board is beeping at me..
UPDATE:
I did some more Web-Mining and came up with a site that had the P.O.S.T. Codes for my BIO's & Mother Board.
After some head scratching, and figuring out what the post codes were trying to tell me.
I came too the conclusion that it was referring to the USB Keyboard, or USB Mouse.
But they seemed to be functioning correctly.
Well, I keep a spare PS2/104 keyboard just in case of an emergency.
So I can swap out the bad one, and still be up and running while I get another new Keyboard.
I swapped out the USB Keyboard with the spare PS2/104 keyboard.
The system boots up fine!
Just the 1 normal Startup Beep!
I was getting ready to chuck the mother board if I couldn't get it working!
Well, thanks for listening!
