August 2013 - Connected Cars Communicate

Post by CeaSaR » Sun Sep 01, 2013 8:38 pm

Telematics are quite handy and in today's uber connected world, almost a "necessity" for those so
intimate with said "connection(s)". Who wouldn't want all the great features available today?

In light of all the recent scandal with that "really big agency" and all the others leading up to it, what
promise do we have that this technology won't be compromised? Can the subscriber be secure in their
use of these services? I mean, the last couple of months have made the conspiracy theorists almost
seem like normal people, perhaps almost clairvoyant. Even editor B.B. had a column about this very
concern, albeit not this specific type of service.

Progress is great, but there is a great responsibility that comes with it, and sometimes, the cost might
be way more than human nature is willing to pay. Just an observation.
