 Post subject: Balloon Burst through a Telescope

I recently found footage of one of my balloons bursting at 79,000 feet. The video recording was taken through a telescope at the Herrett Center, Twin Falls, Idaho, back in August 2005.

You'll notice that talcum powder comes rolling off the balloon at burst. And if you look quickly, the parachute opens as the payload drops very fast to the lower left edge of the video. Behind the parachute is a long streamer of latex. The remaining latex fragments slowly drift down.
