Helium is getting in short supply in places across the US. I'm planning to launch with NSTAR (www.nstar.org) out of Omaha this weekend and if helium is unavailable, we'll try hydrogen. H2 provides 8% more lift than He and costs less. It's also plentiful.

You can track this flight at aprs.fi by selecting for the callsigns KD4STH-12 and KD4STH-13.

Onboard are several experiments including an IR thermometer and several Geiger counters.
