Paparazzi Robot

Near space is the poorman's space program. It permits you to fly experiments into a space like environment for a faction of the cost of a satellite launch. This forum is where Nuts and Volts readers can share information and data from near space missions - both past flights and those under preparation.

Paparazzi Robot

Post by Paul Verhage » Wed Sep 28, 2011 5:39 am

While modifying digital cameras for my near space projects, I came up with an idea. I sell a programming kit for my CheapBot robots that students can use to learn some of the programming they'll need. I'm expanding the items included so there's a good mix of sensors along with a stoplight and soon a railroad crossing gate. But now I want to add a digital camera. So along with making your CheapBot an overnight weather station or a mine sniffer, you can also make it into a Paparazzi. Imagine your robot driving around taking pictures of people from its perspective.

So what should it be called:
1. PaparazziBot
2. iPaparazzi

Okay, well I suppose you could also make the robot into a wildlife cam.

Maybe I ought to stick with some local wildlife, like raccoons and rabbits.
