Re: Amplify, AD8367

This is a 500 mHz amplifier. You have to be VERY careful with the layout. Can you post the PC board?

Re: Servo Amps

I should think any power op amp would do the job. I once use an LM324 as a servo amp for small motors.

Re: Zener Diode Question

Peak voltage in a 12 volt vehicle can reach 60 volts due to starter transients. I expect that a 28 volt vehicle could see 150 volts. An L - C filter will protect against those transients.

Look at Mouser or DigiKey for an enclosure. www.mouser.com or www.digikey.com

Re: vandigraph high voltage collector dome

I was surprised to read that metal brushes are recomended and they do not touch the belt. I don't understand how that works. BTW, take note that the upper brush has to be inside the sphere.

Re: Electromagnetic physics question

The major difference between a DC electromagnetic field and an AC one is that the AC field can be focused and beamed to a remote location. Energy can be transmitted via AC fields, but not with DC (in a wireless system).

Re: Design Using Op Amp

Neither of the circuits makes any sense. Where is the output of the VCCS? Certainly not at the op amp output.
You cannot make a bridge amplifier using one op amp. There are numerous examples on the web.
I can design a VCCS using 3 op amps if you are interested.

Re: Antenna

300 ohm twin lead was in common use years ago when signals were received by an antenna. Today, most signals come in on 75 ohm coax. If you have an FM receiver, you won't notice the difference whether you use the 300 ohm or 75 ohm inputs. With a TV receiver, you could get ghosts if you use the wrong ...

You can get information on inductive cooking from your local appliance store. I never heard of thermal electric coupler, what do you know about it?

Re: someone explain to me........

I don't know how the new starter-less ballasts work, but if there are only 2 wires, there has to be a starter. The flourescent tube will work on DC, it drops about 25 volts when on. The trick to get it on is, raise the voltage to about 1000 volts. This is accomplished in small lamps by shorting the ...

Re: Magnatron question

From my dictionary: MAGNETRON, n. A high-power ultra high frequency electron tube oscillator which uses the interaction of a strong electric field between anode and cathode with a strong permanent magnet field to cause oscillatory electron flow through multiple internal cavity resonators. Operation ...

What is the operating voltage? The AD8615 has 300uV offset but has 6V max VCC.

It might be an exothermic process; welding can be done with a mixture of aluminium powder and iron oxide plus a match.

What makes you think the pump need to deliver more fuel? The pump is designed to pump more fuel than is needed, the excess is either diverted back to the tank by a pressure regulator in the carburator (fuel injector) or the pump itself has a sensor to shut down when the pressure is high enough. Perh...

Re: P.C.Board design

I cut PCBs on my table saw using a metal cutting fibre disc instead of a saw blade. It makes very smooth cuts. I just bought a 4 inch table saw from Harbor Freight Tools with a diamond blade. It cut great for about 1 minute, then all the diamond was gone. I bought a 4 inch metal cutting disc but hav...
