Re: 4G LTE Interference on OTA Antenna TV

Hi Tzap. Never had cable TV service in my life. OTA and FTA and now receiving streaming often. Did see portions of the video, seems more like an advertisement for that filter. Interesting shrink on the TV band. Is that like the marine Shakespeare omni antenna ? I have it but never fed power to it, a...

Re: Charging lithium ions

If a single 18650 lithium cell reaches 4.2V by charging; it is exactly what you want. It is like that and it is the way it should be. Calling them "3.7V" cells is not a precise term. Some lithium cell chemistries stay at 4.2V after charging; some decrease to 3.7V. Both behaviors are normal...

Re: UVC Testing - Willing to pay!

I would use a CaF2 ? prism, make the UV beam pass trough it and see where is the refraction angle on a fluorescent painted target. It may show more than one A,B,C emissions at different levels.

Re: Citizens band (CB) Radio: Who still uses it?

Not me.
Last thing I learned is the 23 channel units are illegal to sell, but legal to use. :???:

It would be nice if something new develops with ~100m range, clipped to your sun visor, vox, 1 channel, as to converse with nearby drivers only.

Re: OTA TV frequency reallocation

Hi.
Yes, got that about a month ago; and for particular channels, individual notices to execute a scan when subchannels were added months ago.

Re: Voice-operated winch

Nice ! Perhaps pushbuttons added to the place you keep a hand on would avoid the complexity of dealing with microphone, wiring, DSP, voice recognition, engine noise... on an activity that may not be frequent enough to deserve it ? Re: Are old magazines available in compact disc ?

Thank you, Mr. Lemieux. Yes, I saw the contents of that link before and surprised that T&L publications does not have a treasured history vault with the printed complete collection of the early years  It would be interesting trying to find someone who has them, for your safekeeping and perh...

Never used one of these, but claim to be for the task... perhaps borrow one and try.

Re: Interesting assembly method...

Nice link, haklesup. Did not see all ramifications in it, but nice. With no plans to stop repairing anything that gets to my hands, lawful or not. Was lucky, one phone I guessed the password sweeping a gesture on the keypad. But erased all previous contents anyway, and left without password. 3 other...

Interesting assembly method...

Dismantled some cell phones to learn and enjoy the way they are built lately, and found their lithium cell attached to the case with the method those 'Command' wall fasteners use. Two removable adhesive strips that come out by pulling. Very hidden next to the cell, pulling tabs releases it. ...

Hi.
I mentioned the cell phone not only with its possible interaction with the television, but confirmed misbehavior with a TV remote control sleeping on the same table as the phone.

Re: Self entertaining, entertainment system!

Hi Len.
For your peace of mind, watch if your misbehaving equipment is or is not nearby any cell phone. They report to their tower often, unattended, emitting interfering signals. Confirm if all phones are on or off when weird things happen to eliminate or suspect interactions...
