Re: analog VU meter project.

Question-
Are you looking for a ciruit to go with these meters so you can input audio and read actual volume units ?
Or are you trying to adapt meters for some other purpose (Amps, volts,Whatever)?

Re: MERC - V. REG. OUTPUT

One other thing Jack-
Small motors usually dont have an altrenator as such. They carrie 3 or 4 coils arranged in magneto fashion, thereby producing 3 or 4 pulses of charging current for each revolution, again relating to former reference of erroneous volt meter readings

Re: MERC - V. REG. OUTPUT

Jack Need more info. Was motor running at time of measurment? Terminal voltage on your batterys should be 12.6 VDC 13.6 VDC indicates they are being charged. The charging wave form may have a low duty cycle thereby producing a lo DC reading on your volt meter. It may be performing its job ok. Is the...

Re: Automobile Inverters

Dean thanks for the tip. I will discontinue my search, and I kind of figired there would be strings attached. I really believe these large inverters were not meant for automotive use at all, but rather in a statonary situation with large battery banks. Probably a last ditch situation for obtaining 1...

If it is indeed a current transfomer you are looking for, AMVECO makes them for a wide range of primarys.
These are basically for 50/60 Hz operation. I have used these and they perform well. Digikey does sell them. Look on page 1510 or Go to their website p/n TE1005-ND.

Re: AC selonoid

Roger If I understand you correctly, you still have this problem when the microprocessor triggering is disconnected and out of the picture. This sounds like a Dv/Dt problem. Without further knowledge of the device you are using, I will assume it follows traditional SSR design. The opto triggers a sen...

Re: Automobile Inverters

Mark Its like something you trip on daily until the day you want it and it isn't there. I have seen an add many times for deriving 120VAC direct from an auto alternator. Never had an interest, never investigated further. I will search thru some old subscriptions and see if I can find it for you. In ...

Re: Controlling Blower Motor Speed Remotely

120v@0.85 amps =102 watts, factor in efficiency and you probably have a 1/10 H. P. motor. 340 cfm with a 1/10 hp motor ? I dont think thats any where close to possible. I think someone in marketing is really stretching the truth here. Are relying on these specs or just by trial that whatever cfm is,...

Re: Waffle ready beeper

Jimandy one thing I forgot to mention-Don't pay too much attention to the specs as regards to input/output. I have driven optocouplers with these with as little as 2 amps primary current. Half wave rectification and 10 mf 'lytic will probably produce 10 or more VDC at modest loads (at 10 amp primary).

Re: How to get low DC from 110 v AC

I think the large mylar is the answer to your question. If the load is not too great , capacitive reactance can be used in place of heat producing resistance to drop your line voltage to a suitable value, rectify it, filter it and regulate it with a cheap zener and your all set. However this supply w...

Jimandy
Here is part no. you requested. Digikey 237-1103-ND.
They call it a low freq. current transformer. I did notice that the latest price is $2.89. You can go to Digikeys website for all the info. Good luck with your project.

A high is a logic 1, a low is a logic 0. Putting these together in the right sequence, you can build anything you want. Any other questions?
