The rotary encoders aren't needed with stepper motors. A microprocessor counts the number of steps sent to the motor to know how far it has gone. A stepper motor has several pairs of electro-magnets. I'm beginning to think Markkim is a spammer. He never responds to requests for details, and the links he includes like reference material have price lists at bottom. I don't feel strong enough about it to click [ ! ] button.

Sorry, you did say that in post 1, but symbol for Ampere is "A" not "a". ( I did not recognize that you where talking about load current.) Have you tried www.digikey.com ? Or, www.jameco.com when they recover from network problem. Be sure to look for a DC relay. An AC relay could...
