I find the "Autonomous" mode a little disturbing where the drone is no longer visible by the pilot. It flies a programmed course by GPS and can be as far away as battery power allows. 5-10 miles!

Dropping out at 8 amps may be thermal- do you have an infrared viewer to locate the hotspot? Or, run a fan over the heatsink and see if it behaves that way?

Anybody play around with 100 watts+ ultrasonics? Lots of generators out there for pest control, cleaners, etc., but would like to know if anybody has used such devices for large animal (deer specifically) control.
