Re: Experimenting with Hot Glue..

Never mind. When I replied above, the reply moved to last page. The new link is where I posted the image of the night light. Sheez. I'm about to give up on this.

Re: To evaluate performance of used 18650 cells...

I watched a youtube video from bigclive. He used a wall clock to time the battery discharge. I'm sure there's a better way in there some where, like maybe a 60hz up counter and op amp?

Re: To evaluate performance of used 18650 cells...

It was from your earlier reply MrAl: Hi there, Yes if you use a constant current source then you have to log the time to 0.9v or whatever cutoff you choose. The OPUS i have goes down to 0.9v for NiMH and Alkalines. That's not too hard to do really though, because if you watch it maybe very 30 minute...

Re: To evaluate performance of used 18650 cells...

Good question. I have tested at different loads using the same tester, but I didn't really graph anything. I have a picture of the spreadsheet of my test results. I'll upload that when I learn how to do that. I just haven't had much time to do so yet.

Re: Experimenting with Hot Glue..

I'm now a member of the Electro-Tech-Online forum. Here's a link to their own attachment of a photo. It doesn't show in the address that it's a hosted image, but you have to be a member to see it I think:

Re: Experimenting with Hot Glue..

Yes, I understand that. Wikimedia seems to be a better site, in that it looks more permanent(no donations and popular name). I just don't want my schematics and pics to disappear like my other ones have already. I don't know much about setting up websites, but it seems to me that we should be able t...

Re: Experimenting with Hot Glue..

I posted a reply here earlier, but it doesn't show up. Anyway thank you! Now that I understand what's going on, I'll try to upload my schematics & pictures to Google Drive first, then set it to public. I'll copy the link to WikiMedia, since the other host imaging sites want donations(probably wi...

Re: Message Board update

I'm sure many of you know Forrest Mims III and his many books from Radio Shack. I had most of his books. I gave away some. Sold some on Ebay, but kept 2 for myself. I'd REALLY like to see this forum, and maybe, the Nuts & Volts magazine get back to some of the fun-ness of electronics. Even as a ...

Re: A Simple but Accurate Constant Current Source

I agree CeaSar. I mentioned earlier that I could store over 100,000 photos on a single flash drive. I have several. I've been in contact with Sean, the Administrator and so far he's been able to upgrade the forum some. My old photos though were deleted and I'm still not able to upload any photos or ...
