Re: Guest (sic) Who?

For the length of my membership here, the actual registered members have been way outnumbered by guests and "bots".Right now in this thread it is myself, a Yahoo bot and 1 guest. At least the forum is interesting to more than just us regulars.

Baseball Code?

I just had a weird thing happen. I refreshed a screen (IE7), and while in the midst of refreshing I started to scroll down. A message box popped up saying : Exception thrown and missed. So far nothing else has happened, no alerts from any other program. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks, ...

Re: What Has Happened To The Forum?

I'm signed in and I can't see your picture, just the no permission in "kinda sorta red (pink)" box. I see some others in the board, such as some of the pictures in the memristor thread, yet others are blocked. Must be the way they are posted???

Re: New Board Look?

What happened to the sort ability on the "Members" page? Last night I was able to sort as I wanted (Date Joined, Name, Website, Total Posts, etc. and Ascending or Descending), but it is gone now. Today it is "stuck" on just the Joined Date. ????

Re: google gone mad ??

Mine doesn't say that. AVG, my antivrus, puts a green star with a check next to "good" sites. When I hover over the star, a popup shows that the site has been scanned and is safe to proceed to. As for "bad" sites, I know its a red icon, but I have tried about 30 searches so far a...

Re: google gone mad ??

Check your AntiVirus and make sure it is up to date. The "warning" is usually put there by the local A/V.

Re: New Board Look?

One thing I miss is having the links launch in a new window when you click on them. So much more convenient than shift click or right click "n". I'll give them some time to iron out the rest of the bugs before giving my opinion on the new look / functionality. I had wondered what was going...

Re: Detecting when a specific item is near

If you just click on SOT23 and APPLY FILTERS, you'll end up with 4 to choose from. To deselect, click the reset underneath.

Happy searching!

Years ago in ?Popular Electronics / PopTronics?, there was a solar tracking project using a board divided into the 4 main quadrants by vertical divisions with either LDR's or CDS cells set near the inner corners. The voltage / current readings through them would be balanced when they were all expose...

Did you try to find anything for similar such as the "Spongebob", "Mickey",
"Minnie", "Cars", "Hanna Montana" et.al.? I see them all over the place.

Good luck.

Hey Bob, What did you do to get the symbols in your test line? I've been wondering how to do that (almost) forever. As an update, I didn't have the time I thought I'd have over the holiday break, so it's still not finished. However, the board is stuffed and soldered, but the offboard components are ...

You sure are quick. I had just read your post and was typing mine!

Sorry it didn't work.

You are quite welcome. At least the knowledge was useful in some way.

Ah, XP pro. I have been told that there are a few differences between the Pro and Home editions. This must be one. I only have experience with the Home edition, but that will change soon enough (YAY! No more old Win98 machines at work!!!). Maybe someone else with "Pro" experience can help....
