Re: reposting >> need help to find a motor controller

hmmm, only thing I can think of is to do two sets of the circuit and set each one in an H-bridge pattern, then it could be reversable and such. Another thing you can do is just use a simple microcontroller to read the value of the pot throught an A/D pin, I use it all the time to tell the values of ...

Re: reposting >> need help to find a motor controller

why not just build your own, a simple 555 timer analog to pwm generator would work perfect for you, add another and some mosfets, and you have a 2 channel analog motor driver. Here is an example of analog to pwm converter using a 555 timer. If you used a 556 timer, you have two 555s in the same pack...

Re: xp and win7 oddity

lol, I just thought of this, but whenever it does it, what's the cpu % at? mine does that from time to time if the system is really bogged down and the mouse will temporarilly get stuck then jump, but the stuck part only happens for around 100ms but you still notice it. If it is that, then just figu...

Re: Wanted - 68 pin SIMM socket

ok, Ive looked all over the place and the 68 pin connector just seems to be a proprietary socket used for a very short time on video cards that went into ancient macintosh computers and by the dallas semiconductor TINI boards. Ive noticed that the sockets for 68 pin and 72 are very similar, but you ...

Re: Wanted - 68 pin SIMM socket

what would you need an odd socket that old for? If you look for old apple computer graphics cards, they seem to have used the 68 pin sockets and memory on those, so you might just be able to desolder some from there.

Re: static electricty and burned out components

oh, if your burning out motors, then you might want to turn the current going to them, or control them through pwm. Also, what voltages are you sending into them and what is the motors rated for? Those two things will burn out motors faster than anything. Also, in the case of when you plugged in the...

Re: static electricty and burned out components

are the motor controllers and such homemade or is it store bought? If it's homemade, you may have forgotten to include the clampping diodes on the motor driver circuitry, which the flyback voltages from the motors would be causing voltage spikes in the hundreds or thousands of volts, which will wrea...

Re: Old technology but...importing of WAV files not working.

from what they were talking about imo was that you needed to just burn it as a standard data cd, not as audio cd, usually just using nero to burn as a data cd, then add the wav files is what it sounds like you need to do. Most of the time, when you burn cds, it's set in the iso9660 format unless you...

Re: WIN 7 Question.

if you right click on computer, click properties, and look through stuff till you find performance stuff, then turn all of the options off, it puts the gui into a fallback mode more or less that is identical to your classic windows mode. Then right click on the start button and change it to classic,...

just post the error message here and your code, and someone will surely help. For the arduino issues with code and errors and such, most people just use the arduino forums, but Im sure people here will help also.

7z is called 7zip, it's a free program I believe that supports an insane amount of archives, and works great. Most people prefer it over winzip or winrar, but everyone has thier own personal preferences.

Re: help help help

only thing I can think of is to check to see the filesize of the folders to see if they were hidden, or just check around the root of the C drive, maybe they were moved around or something. I havnt used winzip in ages due to issues like this with it, I just use winrar on windows, and that's about it...

Re: Outlook Express / PDF's

only thing I can think of is to try another pdf reader, and if that doesnt fix it, just change to a better email client program. I use foxit pdf reader and mozilla thunderbird, and Ive never had any issues with either of them. Looking back at most of the posts on here and the issues with them, 99% o...
