Re: loud tv commercials
High level signal into an external amp, aka speaker level like in car audio or even some subwoofer audio. Yeah, it's a pain to add more stuff onto the end run, but it seems to be the easiest way to gain access for analog solutions like we used to have. Anyway, years ago it was the blanking between t...

Re: loud tv commercials
You need to be able to put a shelf filter in the line for amplification. There was something on here a number of years ago that would do that. Who knows if its still here.
Now, I hate those political ads too, but I do get a bit of satisfaction reporting all the political texts I get as Spam. Hehe

Re: Is Nuts and Volts dead ?
Thanks. what we really need is new participation, and not in the way the spammers have been trying. I keep trying to bring others here, but it seems fruitless. Most people these days have such short attention spans that actually learning from us is just a bother. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Internet radio question.
Even if you find a frame for it that doesn't have quite enough room on the bottom, a small wooden riser with space left open for the bottom plug should be easy to fab out of some scrap wood.
Here's to happy listening!

Re: Internet radio question.
Ah, ok.
How about building a frame for the tablet that allows the plugs to be inserted (maybe switch to right angle plugs) yet still stand vertically or slightly angled back? I mean, if it works as is and is just an ergonomic issue, that should solve it.

Re: Internet radio question.
This will work as its HTML 3 compliant (not even sure if we're still HTML 5 or beyond, I'll have to check that out). It's rather straightforward. TITLE refers to what you see in the tab of the window frame. H1 (as shown in the example) is the first piece of text and has the font style of Heading 1 i...

Re: Internet radio question.
Here. I've trimmed this down to the absolute bare minimum to form a launch page for some of the things I listen to. It's basically just a "link farm" that uses almost no resources. It will just sit there until you come back to it. And each link will load in a new tab. It's very easy to edi...

Re: Internet radio question.
Do you know how to save your bookmarks and edit them as HTML? Your saved bookmarks could be your home page and then you could open each up in a new tab. Would save a lot of time. Let me know if you want help, as I just did something similar for the pages I like to listen to. Here's a single line for...

... Hey MicroRem... Did you loose your password for your old account? Maybe ask CeaSar if he can reset the password for you? ... Unfortunately that is one thing I don't have access to. Spammers, on the other hand... You can always call up or write to the Lemieux family if you have a deeper issue.

Hadn't thought the time went by that fast. I'm coming up on the start of my 19th year here. I was part of the radio group on Yahoo groups, mostly AA5 radios, TRF and REGEN topologies. I liked it because the people there would regularly post schematics with quite detailed explanations. Of course, Yah...

Re: Battery Bank won't replace a plain old battery
Most of those cheap LED garden lights have a tiny boost board built into the main compartment somewhere.
