Dean,
The main set top box converter manufacturers (for PAL anyhow) are Pace and Thompson. As Thompson are a French company I assume they provide converters for SECAM and by extension possibly for Never The Same Colour Twice systems .
bodgy

15 - 20mA is the current required. So measure the resistance on your body, it will vary depending on the dryness of your skin and the part of the body you probe - then do the calculations. Though with a digital meter it is harder to get a reading than with an analog type.
bodgy

Re: Cell Phone Jammer
It's easier to make a hand held mobile phone sniffer, and if a trianglation aerial is used then you would be able to pin point the person in the room, wander up to them and embarrass or frisk which ever does it for you in front of the assembled mob.

I assume a GFI is what I know as an RCD (Residual Current Detect(Device)), even so it triggers at an imbalance of ~20mA. Now 20mA is actually high enough to cause injury to the human body under certain circumstances. Even though an RCD should break fast enough to nullify this, if a fault and it does...

True, but the diplexors work at 850 - 870 MHz, I work for a company currently building just a few (1200) for a certain American company (rhymes with abscent)who is more well known in the public arena for modems.
For Info - if anybody gets hold of a base station diplexor, you'll find (apart from it...

As already stated to vibrate something all that is needed is a small motor and an egocentric wheel. That's how the vibrate works on a mobile phone - take a look at the little cog thingy near the battery.
Why on earth would you want to make this an AC device? I've heard of putting a spark back into...

Sounds illegal to me!
Basically though many jammers work by swamping the original signal with a higher output on the broadcasting frequency.
If your talking digital signal then Spread Spectrum techniques make jamming difficult.
Though if your game to climb a mobile tower put your hand on the f...

Maybe this is a time when British English and American English don't quite mesh.
To me Knock off means stolen and probably wouldn't be something I'd want to quite share with the rest of the board. OK I'm a piccy person :D . It's not as bad as it looks - just the way they've set the problem.
Personally I'd work slightly backwards. First just get the leds to toggle by only using two inputs on PORTB - then it is much easier to extend the program to 6 bits.
What is the method of inputting the...

Re: Stunguns
Right I've just done a google search on this subject and as far as i can see the average voltage is 20KV @ 3mA though there are some @ 150KV. Though on a russian site they reckoned on 30KV @ 8A, but on a PP3 battery that is definitely a typo (unless Russian phsyics are different of course.)
I sugg...
