Has anyone from outside the US or Canada ordered anything from Pioneer?
They have a keen prices but I can't make out whether they export or not. Or how much they charge.
Their order page allows you to say OTHER in the country box but the shipto box only has USA and Canada as a choice. Digikey ar...

Re: Searching for IC
If you want momentary led'ing then just add some leds via limiting resistors to the keypad column lines. If the keypad has a built in diode matrix for key selection then you could (laboriously) substitute leds for them.
If you want to toggle thenI would either use the microcontroller to switch led...

Re: Please help - UK Electronics Student
Righty 'O',
I assume you are allowed to use 'black box' technology - esp to stay within the regulations, so for your tranmitter/receivers use one of the ready made modules from RF solutions www.rfsolutions.co.uk or www.bitztechnology.com or www.radio-tech.co.uk or www.ratiometrix.co.uk.
OK so t...

Miles,
I thought its the new term so is this for this years 'A' levels or NVQs?
Anyhow my brain isn't quite working this morning so I'm not sure I've got your question correctly, BUT, the I think you require something along the lines of a nulling receiver - it's how the TV detector vans work. No...

Re: Need Thermal Cutoff (Fuse) Source
A thought just struck me, you are definitely sure it's a thermal fuse? No chance it's a miniature PCB/axial fuse as they can be purchased as 2.5A with a usage temp 110-120@ 230v.
bodgy

Re: chip resistor?
Well I thought he was thinking about SMD devices 1206/0805/0603 etc.
OTOH if he is talking about SIL/DIL resister arrays then I would think most proper suppliers would have them.
Sorry I tend not to think of Tandy/Radio Shack as proper component suppliers.
bodgy

Or with the way the A$ is to the US$ have a look at www.rockby.com.au all surplus but a very good price in 10's for some.
Also normal retail www.jaycar.com.au in 10's not a big choice. However including the postage it could actually work out cheaper than Digikey.

Re: Feed-through capacitor?
Unhelpfully I have a whole bag of them, helpfully
they are a capacitor often used in SW/HF RF to couple sensitive component modules from each other.
For example some SW/VHF radios might have the oscillator stage in a shielded case (to stop nearby circuitry interfering or being interefered with)....

Re: microcontroller help
Well the answer to your question is sort of.
Basic isn't installed with Win9x, but assuming you don't have a brand name machine with an image restore disk, you will find Qbasic under the OLDMSDOS folder on the installation CD not sure what version number it is (can't be bothered to hunt through my...

Not that Mr Williams is any way minded to a particular setup ;)
You could also look at the Atom from Basic Micro - though I haven't used this, or possibly the setup from Melabs.
But to get myself back in favour with Mr Willaims, the Stamp does have plenty of 3rd party books and programs etc.
...
