Re: Hooking up two phones
A battery is all you need. Make the phone [s] in a loop. If you need a ringer thats Extra. I can scan a diagram out of a Telephone book that shows the representation for the full complete phone system. If your going miles and miles, 48 volts is needed. If it a couple hundred yards, 12 and less is ne...

I use my five miles of barbed wire fence for my night time AM radio reception. INSULATE it from the posts. I get Florida radio stations [and beyond] from my rural California property, clear as a bell! Are you from Clovis/ near by?
[ January 11, 2002: Message edited by: Chris Smith ]

Re: ac dimmer
Ron, the easiest way to get a smooth AC back out is a One to One transformer that takes chopper signals in, and returns it back to sine.
The absorption/reaction in the transformer "transforms " it back to sine.

Re: light fader or dimmer
Take two over the counter light dimmer switches, rotary or slide types, and connect a bell crank to both of them to operate them in opposite directions at the same time. The speed of a small DC motor can be controlled through a potentiometer attached to this bell crank, and this will be your speed r...

Re: RVK Basic in Win 2000
No I havent faced that problem, But 2000 sucks in many ways! Try finding the old "File Manager" in the Windows directory at the end, past the programs and directories, using the Win Explorer. [or other] Create a usable Icon, sent to the desktop, etc, and using this File Manager which is a ...

Re: Puzzled about current producing devices ??
You cannot have one with out the other, as far as voltage and current. What your referring to is a "change" in either voltage or current, and the op amp is designed specifically to sense this, but not necessarily the other, [before its too late] and alter the out put accordingly. For examp...

Re: ac dimmer
Do you want to learn everything about them, or just build one? I have many diagrams that you can copy. The heart of the dimmer is called a Diac, bi directional diode. It controlls the triac through r/c variables. However, Zero volts may not be possible because most standard controls start around the...

Re: How do I turn on a Mac II pwr supply?
Look for a small micro switch on the PS if it unplugs there, or place a small load on the PS and it will sense it and turn on automatically? Place a load on "all" of the voltages at the same time. Light bulbs work fine. If this works, and you dont need a partcular voltage, place a small lo...
