a slot car motor should not get over 150 or so degrees or you have problems an the car is not set up right

If you have 2 transformers, run one to each lane(better that way so you dont get the spikes when one car comes off) an put the ghost car transformer on a light dimmer used in houses

mine is a single battery ups, i bought 2 batteries to replace batteries in both my usp's but only replaced the one that had a bad battery

they where both bought new at the same time, I had only 1 that was bad an didnt replace my other ups's battery so they should be the same lot, one has just been used for the last 6 months though

I have a APC 500 ups battery back up, I have a new extra battery I want to install to double my backup time, Is this as easy as putting it in paralel with the other battery?? Or do I need to do something eles as well?<p>[ March 29, 2005: Message edited by: Intimidator#3 ]</p>

only mod i did, was instead of using 2 10ohm resistor blocks on the 5v wires for load(couldnt get 12v using them) I am using 10 1157 automotive bulbs in series for my load, they draw 13 amps!!!!! but i get 12v on the nose sometimes 11.99v

ok i found out in testing that if i use the +3.3v an the -12v i get 15 volts, using the +12v an the -12v gives me 24 volts i can get anywhere from 3.3-24 volts out of this by using the -12v an -5v as the ground an the + side for possitive

15 volts from a pc p/s???
How could you get 15 volts from a pc p/s<p>I know doing this with batteries you just add them in series to the volts you want, but how would you do it with a p/s with a 12v an 3.3v out leads??connecting the 3.3v an 12v together??<p>Thanks

The mags are kinda small, ½x½x¼ or close and ¼x¼ I know they can be remagnatized, commercial units are out there but expensive, what I do know is alot of current or volts are stored in large caps untill full then a button connected to a relay releases this power into a metal slug of some sort<p> Ano...
