Re: Telephone Jack
I still haven't figured out what the heck your doing, or what you need... do you need jacks or modular plugs, or do you have modular plugs that you need jacks to fit? and if you have plugs, how are you going to crimp them, it takes a special modular crimping tool... if you can somehow explain how ma...

Re: Phone PA system
only problem with that is if the phone is still on the network.. you can't send foreign voltages down the telephone companies wires.. they frown big time on that.. so, unless this is a completely isolated system, stay away from that one.. .. (have you read the e-mail I sent you re: putting in a smal...

Re: Phone PA system
never heard of damaging a phone applying ringing when off hook, but your ear won't appreciate it.. the switchhook contacts open off the ringer when your off hook, so all you get is the ringing voltage on the R side of the pair, right in the ear.. you really need to look at a secondary circuit, such ...

Re: telephone busy light is not right.....
not so about the line voltage being the same.. when you come off hook you complete the circuit from Tip side to Ring side, splitting up the line voltage.. monitoring one side will give a definate drop... Voltages and line currents vary now since the creation of the digital switches.. depending on ho...

I have put my foot in a gadget that xrayed through my shoe to see how my foot fit in it.. was in Las Vegas when Rosenfeld's car was bombed.. and lord knows what other...

Re: Black Box
I'm not sure why or how, but what I've heard was, "the boat puts off a given charge? and the black box is used to counter this...?" which might explain why some guys continue to catch fish, using the same bait, same tackle, same positioning of their mouth.. etc... their boat may not give o...

Black Box
anyone know how the Black Box works or how to build one? It's a box made by one of the downrigger manufacturers for putting an adjustable positive/negative current on the cable going down to your trolling line when fishing.. supposed to attract or change the charge in the water around your bait? I'v...

sure isn't like the old days... used to be that someone would write back with bloody fingers to get ahold of good parts.. seems these days you have to offer the free shipping and a gift certificate to Home Depot to get anyone even interested?..

Re: components
your absolutely right.. as a kid, toying with electronics, I would have given my eye teeth for a box of this stuff.. there's memory chips, cpu's, leds, switches, counters, cap's, diodes, card cases, power supplies, regulators, lord knows what little treasure... but, I guess the price is to cheap?
