Re: Telephone Jack
modems, fax machines, etc, use a relay so that when they are connected, they disconnect the "other" RJ from the circuit, same as firealarm dialers do. a dual jack is basically, just that, a dual jack.. it won't do any magic switching to shut one off when the other is in use.. that's done w...

Re: 2 AC inputs, 1 AC output
geesh, all this time I thought the UPS (uninteruptable power supply)meant you ran off the inverter? The AC power converted to DC (charger) to keep the batteries charged, the inverter kept the outside AC totally isolated from the output going to your computer or whatever, therefor, no switching time....

Re: Digital Tv by '03

I switched to ATT cable, lasted 4 months. they raised the rates again and the service was lousy with the volume going up and down all the time... so back to Dishnet, almost a 50% price difference for the same channel...

Satelite receivers
Edd, I opened the DishNet 4700 receiver and unfortunately there are no batteries on the board? This receiver and my other DishNet 5000 won't upgrade or download information from the satelite very fast, in fact, you have time to go make popcorn and get a pop before it comes back to you with the info ...

Re: Looking for satellite receiver schematic
while everyone is busy searching for a schematic, does anyone know why my model 5000 and I believe the other is a 4000, won't upgrade? Dish told me to shut them off and leave them over night and they would auto upgrade.. not... I've had them in storage for 2 years.. do I need to replace something to...
