Re: 'gold' color /silver color on transistor EBC legs?

Keep in mind that a nickel plated copper lead will also be attracted by a magnet.
What's a TO-5 package?

Re: teddy ruxpin

Teddy sounds like he ran much like Robie the Robot, popular in the late '80's. Robie actually moved around, moved his arms, and talked. You could teach it to move through a certain path, speak at different times, all based on the audio cassette in his chest. You could change the cassette to have him...

Re: DVD to VHS

While on the subject, how does one take standard NTSC video from a VCR or video camera, and make it into a digital image, like a .jpg?

Re: microphone question

Sorry to hear of your "situation"! http://spyoutlet.com/products/index.cgi?code=3&cat=2 These are professional jobbies, $50-$80, but would certainly do the job. Any old electret mike and a pre-amp would work, but they pick up so much that it covers up the sound you're trying to hear.

At a glance, should make for an interesting project for under $50.
Found this under a Google search under "audio frequency counters".

I'm all for ultrasonics applications, but if it's motion detection you want, infra-red detectors are cheap, directional, and available in all types of ranges.

Re: Varying AC frequency

Not to discourage Sunil, but that's 10 octaves of frequency range! AND at 50 amps! Hope you have deep pockets for this project.
Could we ask what it is for, in case theres an alternative possibility to achieve your goal?

If you had access to an ultrasonic cleaner, submerge the board in isopropyl alcohol and shake away. Repeat with clean alcohol, dry.

My 2 cents- The ozone disassociates chlorine from the thermoset plastic distributor cap. It's a chloride dusting.
