Re: 2.4GHz designs/test equipment

Yep.. I'm OLD..
Sorry for the oversight..
Obviously, I stopped following RC stuff a long time ago

Re: 2.4GHz designs/test equipment

RC radios are in the 27MHz, 50MHz, 72MHz and 75MHz bands.
I suggest getting your hands on the latest ARRL Handbook for design ideas.

Have fun,
Fred

Re: Hey Fred - I saw some cool new stuff from Microchip

Hi, Kevin

The PIC16F1507 looks like a good candidate for some further study via Design Cycle....(hint hint)

Re: Dinosaurs

Hey, Smoke_Maker
Did I mention that I had a Yeti encounter while squirrel hunting

Seriously, I do have a squirrel that loves to take little bites of my best mangos.. He's so big, he flexes his muscles on the back yard fence

Re: Dinosaurs

And it still is a pretty little thing, gerty  Just a couple of resistors and a capacitor and magic was performed.. I used to know every TTL IC by number and function.. I also could spout out every EEPROM and SRAM part number.. I knew every Microchip PIC part number and pin count... These days...

Re: Dinosaurs

I can relate, Smoke_Maker.. I too started with tubes. I remember trying to read and understand the GE Transistor Manual. Must have read it a dozen times. The logic portion of that book was wayyyyy over my little head. C is an acquired taste. There are many flavors. Have you tried the CCS C Compiler?...

Re: Dinosaurs

Thanks for you input, CeaSaR!

The method to my maddness is to get an idea of what the readers want..
Then, I will write about those subjects..

I've found that the Dinos have similar interests.. Maybe we can rub some of that "interest" off on the newbies (Baby Dinosaurs)

Dinosaurs

Dinosaur.. A person that prefers to design and assemble electronic devices. This person tends to read electronic publications and often has embedded programming skils..

They say Dinosaurs perished in the great cataclysm..
Well, I'm still here. There must be more of us out there.. WHERE ARE YOU??????
