Voltage divider re-united
Hello there. It is only a theorycal question. Lets say I have 220V AC and I have got current feedback amplifiers only can handle up to 60Vs. A voltage divider could give me 4 times 60V not respectively to earth but to each others. I can get the amplifier gains and that I could increase voltage up to...

Re: DC to AC inverter with the 555
Thank you David, I went through the circuit and realised that I only need to leave out R4 in order to get a fix 50Hz frequency.

DC to AC inverter with the 555
Hello there, I found an interesting DC/AC converter design for 50HZ 220V. http://www.uoguelph.ca/~antoon/circ/555dcac.html <p>I was almost very happy until I read the description. There is R4 potmeter which is supposed to regulate frequency. Without an oscilloscope how can figure out what frequesncy...

Re: DC/AC converter 220V 50HZ
Dear Bert, Thank you for your opinion. Unfortunately I cannot give you a technical answer and this is not a place for an emotional one. I have many other reasons not only ecological to go on with my project and I hope to help a lot of people in very difficult economical situation with it. Take care

Re: DC/AC converter 220V 50HZ
Thank you Jolly for your message. Could you pls advice on some models that I could study and compare costs, so I can understand a bit more. Lets say I need one AC generator and a DC motor. What size, and how much power do you think I could get out of them? The "off the shelf solution" woul...

Forgot to mention a current sense Amplifier from MAXIM http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/ap ... 1934/ln/en
It is still just theory.

Re: DC/AC converter 220V 50HZ
Thank you Russ, yes I am thinking to sell power back to the grid. Naturally, the power company wants to see something working before discussing anything. A true sine wave oscillator would not be useful? I am not affraid to do a bit soldering if I could find a good design. My original idea was this. ...

Re: DC/AC converter 220V 50HZ
Thanks Guys, Could you be a bit more specific? I spent lots of hours today on the internet trying to learn more about it. I found so many different ones. 1 phase, or 3 phases? What DC level do I have to use? Lets say 12VDC or 220VDC? or something else? Which type should I buy? How can I understand h...

It is all new for me. Is there any small one, and how do they work?
Thanks

12V 30Amp Power Supply Changes
I found this 12V power supply on the internet. It clams to supply 30Amps. My very stupid question would be this. HOW WOULD BEHAVE THIS CIRCUIT IF I REMOVED THE LM7812C REGULATOR and instead of dc 12V I would use 12AC? http://www.mitedu.freeserve.co.uk/Circuits/Power/1230psu.htm Would it only fry egg...

Re: MOSFET, HEXFET,IGBT,ChargePump etc...
Dear Richard, after reading your message I am chilled and I must say that I am almost ready to reconsider my little project and go on with it. It is also true that I have never ever seen a DC motor driver and I have no idea how it works. You see I am the funny type who needs to understand things. So...
