Data cassettes for sale

Dumpster diving, does it pay off? I hope I can find a home for these nice data cassettes. 150, 250, and 525 megabytes. The 250's are new, sealed, box of 5, the rest (13 of them) are used. They have a nice thick aluminum baseplate (about 4" x 6") which I will eventually extract if no one bu...

Model 60/67 Modem and MUX tester

I put this on eBay but got no bids. Maybe will find a target here. I'm not sure what exactly it does or how to use it. Nice metal case with heavy hinge, worth something for that alone. Power supply included, displays.

Re: Low Vsat transistors ?

This is probably not what you have in mind, but if your junk box has germanium transistors, low Vsat is one of their strong points. .1v is typical, and the heavier ones can handle 1 amp. Just keep it cool and watch the Vceo max. Also you have to tolerate some leakage current in "off" state...

Re: Cordless Phone Linear

I am a 2-way radio tech and what you want to do is more complicated than you realize. The output module from an analog cellphone could get you to 3 watts (I'm not sure how broad they are, but they are designed for the 800-900 mHz band) but you also have to use a impedance matching network on the inp...

Re: Can you help me find one?

I will try that idea about co's that take trade-ins. Any specific suggestions? I tried doing a rewind (on another problem) years ago, but the primary alone discouraged me. Several hundred turns of very fine wire patiently by hand... now that I think about it, I think I succeeded that one time, but I...

Re: Can you help me find one?

Thank you for your concern. I am hopeful the xformer smoked itself, but the usual causes after that would be, in order: shorted HV rectifier, shorted HV capacitor, shorted LV rectifier, shorted LV capacitor. I seriously hope it isn't deeper than that, but unless it is in a HF module I could probably...

Can you help me find one?

I have a service monitor, SSI-3000B. The company has quit supporting it. One day the power transformer let some smoke get out. It apparently needed that but I couldn't put it back in. Can anyone help me find a replacement? If it helps: the part # was 1510-3001, the Wavetek # was 1219 000402. The com...
